Formalities is a full service bridal salon located in Mason City, Iowa carrying all the latest bridal fashions and accessories. For more than 50 years this shop been dressing local brides and their parties in beautiful gowns and stunning accessories.  Angie Lien is the proud owner and will continue and improve on this proud legacy.

At Formalities we work with designers that are committed to quality, craftsmanship and elegance to ensure that our customers have access to the best dresses and accessories available. Don’t see what you are looking for at our shop? Don’t worry. We can custom order any dress made by a designer whose line we carry.

Monday  1 pm - 6 pm
Tues-Friday  10 am - 4:30 pm
Saturday 10 am - 2:00 pm (seasonal hours)

Formalities is open by appointment only on Saturdays during the months of June, July and August. Please make your appointment by noon Thursday.

**  Weather closing policy - for the safety of our employees our store may be closed or close early if Mason City School systems have cancelled school or dismissed early.  Please call to confirm.
